Teaching & Learning Takeover 2013

On Saturday 19th October, #TLT13 was held at the University of Southampton Education School. The day was focused around sharing and collaborating professional ideas around various core elements of teaching and learning. The day involved a number of workshops, presentations and Teachmeet Style sessions. To celebrate the fantastic day, we have put together a #TLT13 book that aims to share many of the ideas and resources that were discussed. The book is separated into the various workshop categories and include resources from all of the workshop leaders.

Identify words students commonly use in their design logs that need to be improved e.g. big - thinking year 9.

Starter activity
Link to Pointless game e.g. students to come up with the best synonym and one that no one else has thought of - Gold for a pointless answer.

Provide a simplified text - students to add description to improve the text - homework?
Next lesson, starter - compare with exemplar or each others.
